Cape Breton Island Badeck

Today I went with my sister Connie and her husband Bob to Badeck, on Canadas Cape Breton Island. I took of course a bunch of pictures with my cell phone, but I am not saavy enough to send them. Pics then will have to wait. Use your mind instead. Close your eyes and think of perfection, scenery wise. Think of cleanliness. Conjure salt water lakes and rolling hills. Cape Breton...talk about beautiful

OK let me have a baseball cap so I can talk. Well, I can do it without one eh? Thats the only non-attractive element on this wonderful Island on Canadas east coast. How beautiful can it be? Go to south bar. They call it the polar bear beach. How can 20 rocks be a beach I ask you? But it doesn't matter. Its beautiful. Want to have a definition of the term "rugged beauty"? Look here. Goin' down the road...by air

First return to Canadas Cape Breton Island in 53 years. Yep, 53 years. First ever view of the east-coast Island of Cape Breton Island ever. Now I would love to smother you in smooth platitudes here but I cannot. I was too stricken by amazement. Jeez this place is beautiful from the air. It was so magnificent that it brought tears to this guys eyes (almost). It is big, bold and beautiful and, it is where I was born. New Waterford on May 16, 1937 to be exact.
